History of the Montagnard People of the Central Highlands of Vietnam
circa 1960-Present
"Montagnard" is pronounced "mountain-yard," as one word and is French for "mountain dweller" or "mountain people". The term "Dega" is how Montagnards in Vietnam refer to themselves. In their folklore, De and Ga were the first Montagnards in Indochina, Adam and Eve to us. |
